![]() Pikilia recognized them to be Featherpaw and Stormpaw, Graystripe's kits, and the grown tom being Stonefur. Two smaller cats trailed behind him, a silver tabby she-cat and the other, a dark gray tom with thick fur. ![]() The reeds opened again, and both Pikilia and Firestar had an equal amount of shock and rage - Darkstripe. A huge tabby tom stood up and disappeared into the reeds, reappearing moments later with a skinny gray tom. She kept her gaze on Tigerstar "It is time for the trial to begin. Ravenpaw muttered something to Firestar, but Pikilia didn't listen. "Cats of TigerClan, gather here around the Bonehill for a Clan meeting!" Instantly, the cats circled the hill, crouching low in submission. The sound of bones rattling made the four cats turn to Tigerstar as he stood up. "I can't see my kits," Graystripe suddenly whispered, catching Pikilia's attention. On the other side was Leopardstar, who casted nervous glances across the clearing. Pikilia examined the scene in front of her on one side of the hill stood a large white tom with huge black paws. Pikilia looked back at the hill and noticed a crouched figure visible at the top of it/ She immediately recognized it to be Tigerstar, who watched his cats with dark amber eyes. Pikilia looked to the others for their reactions: Ravenpaw was enraged, prepared to fight, Graystripe looked disgusted, and Firestar was absolutely terrified. Well, it's not so fresh anymore. But, what caught her attention was the makeshift hill in the far side of the clearing.Īll it was made of was bones, dozens and dozens of bones, some as small as a tooth, others as large as a badger or a fox. Pikilia padded forward at a panicked pace they stopped at the edge of a clearing, the ground damp.Ī stream they had followed ran along one side of a clearing, the stagnant water filled with rotting fresh-kill. "What IS this? We're nowhere near the camp," Graystripe hissed, but he was silenced. All she heard was movement and noises, mostly voices. She stopped, her companions doing the same as she listened. The she-cat turned and followed the stench, the toms following silently.Īs the smell grew stronger, she began to pick out the scents of ShadowClan and RiverClan combined. We need to investigate," she added quickly. Pikilia frowned, thinking fast "No." The gray tom glared at her menacingly, about to snap at her "I know you're worried about your kits, Graystripe, but this is too strange. "It stinks, whatever it is," Graystripe muttered, "Come on, we need to keep going before some cat catches us." I'd say it was a foxhole, but there's no scent of fox," Firestar grumbled, swallowing in disgust. That just smells terrible, almost like rotting flesh. "Ugh! What's that?!" Ravenpaw growled, scrunching up his nose. But, Pikilia stopped once she caught an odd scent. She, surprisingly, led the patrol towards the river, cautiously bounding on the stepping stones over to the other side.įirestar then took the lead, going upriver to the RiverClan camp. ![]() ![]() ![]() A second later, they vanished, and Pikilia walked forward. She flicked her tail-tip at the patrol, answering the tom's question. "What's the matter? Why are we waiting here?" Graystripe hissed in her ear. She watched the patrol as they passed river, casting a cautious glance over in ThunderClan territory. She got a weird mix of both ShadowClan and RiverClan cat, and she finally spotted a patrol of cats on the other side of the river. Pikilia was hidden in the undergrowth as she scented the air for any patrols. They made it to the edge of ThunderClan territory, staring at the river ahead of them. They were joined by a former ThunderClan apprentice, Ravenpaw, who Pikilia had acquainted herself with. Pikilia bounded through the forest, Firestar and Graystripe at her side. ![]()
